Button Widget and its Properties

 


            A clickable button which is trigger for an action in a page or Form.

            

Properties of Button

Following are the properties of a button:



A button has few different properties than other widgets of the form: 

A. Style: 
It defines various automated css styles to display the button : primary, success, info, warning, danger, link.

 Link
B. Action
Different types of  Actions:




C. Http Status Code : holds the http status code of the response.

HTTP response status codes indicate whether a specific HTTP request has been successfully completed. Responses are grouped in five classes:

  1. Informational responses (100199)
  2. Successful responses (200299)
  3. Redirects (300399)
  4. Client errors (400499)
  5. Server errors (500599)

D. Data sent on click: can be used to fulfill a contract. For Eg. a form variable referring to a business object from a contract.

E. Successful Response Value: holds the response when the request is successful.

F. Close model on success

G. Failed Response Value: holds the response when the request has failed.

H. Target URL on success: Next page to be displayed. It is ignored in the portal, as navigation is managed automatically.

  • When you select Http POST request/Http Put request in Action property of Button:

  • Properties included in "Add to collection" & "Remove from Collection" actions


In Add Property , 
there are three options "First, Item, Last" to specify where the value needed to be added.
